Because we are all unique, my work with you is directed by who you are and how you understand yourself in the world. I may draw on a range of practices, but the heart of the work is relational, collaborative and responsive. We begin and stay with your experience, not with a predetermined method.
My intention is not to give you a set of techniques and send you away to try harder. It is to help you develop a more kind, curious, open and practical relationship with yourself. The tools we use can then become particularly yours by feeling natural and useful.
Listening to your system
Through open-ended inquiry, mindfulness and body awareness, we explore what is happening in the moment: thoughts, sensations, images, feelings, memories and impulses. The aim is not to analyse you from the outside, but to cultivate a friendly, interested way of being with your own body and experience.
Working with parts and protective patterns
Parts work can help make sense of inner conflict, shame, fear, avoidance, urgency, collapse or the push-pull between wanting change and needing safety. Rather than treating these parts as problems, we’ll approach them as aspects of you that have been trying to protect you for a long time.
Accessing resourceful states
State work, anchoring, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique/Tapping) and meditation can help you reconnect with authentic qualities such as steadiness, confidence, tenderness, clarity, playfulness or courage. I offer these practices with choice and care, especially where pressure, expectation or demand can feel activating.
Creating change that respects your wiring
Coaching can help you clarify what matters, imagine a future that feels more true, and take steps toward it in ways that are realistic for your nervous system. For neurodivergent clients, this often means moving away from shame-based discipline and toward rhythms, supports and choices that honour capacity, autonomy and need.
Each of these approaches has a different focus, but they can work together to support personal growth, self-understanding and sustainable change.
